About me
When I finished school, it was already clear that I wanted to learn something artistic or manual. Since there were few opportunities for young women to complete such training (e.g. technical draftsman) at that time, I decided to do a classic dressmaker training in a bespoke workshop and then study fashion design and technical engineering in Munich. I completed my studies with an apprenticeship as a fashion draftsman, pattern maker and the completion of the master’s examination in women’s tailoring.
Many years as a travel technician abroad (China, Vietnam, Turkey, Greece, Italy, etc.) for various companies (Bally, Switzerland, Escada, etc.) followed through various positions and several years with his own studio. A few years ago, my husband was offered a job in Berlin, so after two years of commuting we relocated.
Now we live south of Berlin and I let my old passion of painting flare up again here in October 2020. Since then I have been drawing with pencil and charcoal, doing watercolors and acrylics and ultimately also in oil, from still lifes to landscapes, nudes and portraits and also old masters.
One of my favorite painters is the Spanish Impressionist Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923). He was a master of Impressionism and had a remarkable ability to achieve a sense of lightness and capture light effects in his paintings.
Now, I wish you a delightful time browsing through my art gallery.
